Definitely. Even if you're not interested in golf, St Andrews has a lot going for it. You've got the famous Old Course, beautiful beaches, medieval streets, cathedral ruins and a lovely coastal setting. It makes for a fantastic day out from Edinburgh and is one of our most popular tours for good reason.

Can you visit the Old Course in St Andrews?

Yes. Visitors can walk alongside the Old Course and see famous landmarks such as the Swilken Bridge. If you're a golf fan, it's a bit of a pilgrimage. If you're not, it's still a great place to soak up the atmosphere and history.

How far is St Andrews from Edinburgh?

The drive takes around an hour and a half, although we like to make a few stops along the way. Part of the fun is exploring some of the villages and scenery in Fife rather than simply heading straight there and back.

Is St Andrews suitable for non golfers?

Absolutely. Many of our guests have little or no interest in golf. The town itself is beautiful, the coastline is stunning and there is plenty of history to enjoy throughout the day.
